Tissy

As much as I want to say mom was present and a great mom, she just wasn’t. But I’m not here to talk about that. I’m here to talk about Tissy. My sister that practically raised me.

She has always bent over backwards for anyone and everyone. She has a smile that could light up a whole room. Her energy is contagious, her heart is always in the right place. She always has people’s feelings in mind.

She used to rub my neck when I got my migraines, she is actually the only person I would let touch me. She knew I was sensitive, and always treated me gently. She would let me drive to target.

She didn't live with me, but she knew I was home alone so she'd come over, and always bring a pizza.

And now, she is JUST as supportive. She accepts me. She knows my DEEPEST DARKEST secrets, and I believe she will take them to the grave. She invites me over because she knows her house is a “safe spot” and I need an escape from my house.

She never judges me. She accepts my autism. She celebrates my wins with me. She is the best person. She is my sister, but more than that, she is my best friend.

Until you read again.
