You’re Capable

 You’re capable.

You’re capable of so much more than you give yourself credit for. Let go of the self-doubt, and the self-loathing. Remember what it feels like to completely, and relentlessly love yourself.

Take a deep breath, look in the mirror. Look past what you see. Take a look at the good deeds, the selflessness, the kindness, the times you wanted to give up but you didn’t. All the parts of you that make you, you. All the parts of you that make you beautiful inside.

Now look on the outside, look at your body, and all its glory. See all the signs of life. The battle scars. Wrinkles from where you smiled too hard, tiger stripes from where you grew and carried life. Those arms that have held so many loved ones. Those legs that have carried you through this long, tiring journey. Look in your eyes, so wise, oh the things they’ve seen. So brave. You never gave up no matter what life threw your way.

So next time you think you aren’t capable. Or you think you aren’t strong, or you even think about giving up, remember what you’ve been through, what you’ve fought through. And here you are, still fighting.

You are capable, you are brave, you are beautiful.

Until you read again.
